PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE 2026
Following the instructions from Ministry of Women & Child Development (MWCD), Government of India, the new Labour Codes provide Expanded Work Opportunities and Safety: Women are now permitted to work in all establishments for all types of work, including night shifts and hazardous industries, provided they give their consent and the employer ensures adequate safety measures, facilities, and transportation resonating with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of women-led development for a 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
Following The SH Act 2013 (attached), which is a crucial law making workplaces accountable for preventing and resolving sexual harassment, empowering women with a clear, structured process to seek justice and ensuring a dignified, safe working environment, a one day Lecture cum Awareness session on "Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace” has been oraganized at IACS, Deemed to be University as part of the 'Sexual Harassment Prevention Week' (December 10 - December 17, 2025) to enhance awareness of the provisions of 'The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013' (SH Act) and the SHe-Box portal on Thursday, 08th January, 2026 at 4 P.M. at C V Raman Hall.
