Sealed item rate tenders in two part bidding systems (Part I: technical bid and Part-II: price bid) are invited from bonafide, resourceful and eligible manufacturers/exclusive distributors who are enlisted to Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, for a “High Temperature Tube Furnace with Precision Temperature Controlling Option” at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mullick Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata -700032, by 30.10.2010. Manufacturers/exclusive distributors should have past history of supplying this type of furnace to other organizations for the purpose of high quality single crystal growth with precise temperature control.

Required specifications are as follows:

Operating temperature range: 100 -1200 ^oC.

Temperature Controller: Digital programmable control which can store at least one program of 8 segments. The controller must have the ability to control the slow cooling protocol very accurately.

Rapid Heat up Option: Furnace must have the facility of very fast ramping to the maximum operating temperature.

Over Temperature Protection: It is preferable to have an over temperature protection arrangement in the furnace.

Temperature Uniformity: Furnace must be capable of maintaining very good temperature uniformity over a wide region of the heated zone.

Options for Mounting: Depending on the requirements, there should be option for mounting the samples in the work tube both vertically and horizontally.

Heating Zone Length: Length of the heating zone should be around 12 inch.

Work Tube Diameter: The inner diameter of the work tube should be 3 inch or above.
