Sealed tenders are invited from bonafide, resourceful and eligible manufacturers/exclusive distributors of 400 MHz FT-NMR Spectrometer  by February 28, 2011 upto 5.00 P.M and will be opened on March 03, 2011. Manufacturers/ exclusive distributors should have past history of supplying this type of instrument to this or other Scientific origanisations.

A) TECHNICAL BID: 

The required specifications are as follows:

-FT-NMR spectrometer at 400 MHz with specially shielded superconducting magnet at 9 Tesla superconducting magnet, radial stray field preferably <0.7m

-magnet drift <4Hz/hr

-liquid helium hold time of >300 days

-liquid helium transfer line

-at least 20 room temperature shims

-receiver with quadrature detection and elimination of quadspikes and other artifacts

-oversampling and real time digital filter

-fast digitizer (at least 5 MHz)

-Deuterium lock channel with variable lock frequency/field

-2 broadband channels (digital freq synthesis) each 6-430 MHz, with 1H, 2H and

Broadband preamplifiers

-1H pulse power 50W and BB pulse power 135 W

-phase resolution<0.01 deg and frequency resolution <0.005 Hz

-One platform for HR, solids, and imaging

-PC Host computer, Windows system software

-broadband probe with direct 19F{1H} capability including automatic tuning and matching

-gradient electronics preferably with gradient shimming

- NMR software for 1D and 2D acquisition and processing

-Variable temperature operation below and above ambient (-150 to +150 deg C)

-HRMAS accessory with 4 mm probe

-please specify minimum ceiling height for housing the magnet 

-PLEASE INCLUDE A LIST OF NMR INSTRUMENTS SOLD IN INDIA 

PLEASE ALSO QUOTE FOR ITEMS SUPPLIED FROM LOCAL SOURCES SUCH AS UPS, LIQUID HELIUM FOR INSTALLATION, AIRCOMPRESSOR, DRIER ETC.

PLEASE QUOTE FOR YEARLY SUPPLY OF LIQUID HELIUM AND CHARGES FOR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT AFTER EXPIRY OF WARRANTY PERIOD.

B) FINANCIAL BID: 

1)      The financial bid should be super subscribed as “Finance Bid” on the outer cover of the envelope. 

2)      An Account Payee Demand Draft for Rs.8,50,000(rupees eight lakh fifty thousand) in the name of "Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” is to be furnished by the bidders except those who are registered with the Central Purchase Organisation, National Small Industries Corporation or the concerned Ministry or Department as Bid Security money. 

3)      The Demand Draft for the Bid-Security money should have at least 45 (forty five) days validity period after the opening of the Bids. 

4)      In case of  non-award of the work the Bid Security money would be returned to the Bidders. 

C) PERFORMANCE SECURITY: 

5)      An Account Payee Demand Draft for Rs. 17,00,000 (i.e. rupees seventeen lakh)  in the name of "Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” is to be furnished by the successful bidder as Performance Security money. 

1)      Performance Security should remain valid for a period of 60 (sixty) days beyond the date of completion of all contractual obligations of the supplier including warranty obligations. 

2)      Bid Security would be refunded to the successful bidder on receipt of Performance Security. 

D) GENERAL INSTURCTIONS: 

1)      The Indian Association for the Cultivation Science (IACS) will have the right to select or reject the complete tendering process or any individual or all tenders (Bids) at any stage before awarding the work due to any exigency or financial/administrative reasons. 

2)      There should be two separate envelopes duly sealed for two bids and the envelopes should be superscribed with (a) Technical Bid, and (b) Financial Bid  and both these sealed envelopes are to be put in a bigger envelope which should also be sealed and marked as Tender for “400 MHz FT-NMR Spectrometer”  

3)      The Tender should be sent on the following address :
