Sealed
tenders are invited from bonafide, resourceful and eligible
manufacturers/exclusive distributors of Pulsed Laser Deposition Unit
by 8th March, 2011 upto 5.00 P.M and will be opened on 10th March,
2011. Manufacturers/ exclusive distributors should have past history of
supplying this type of instrument to this or other Scientific Organizations.

A). TECHNICAL
BID:
1. The
Technical Bid should be super subscribed as “Technical Bid” on
the outer cover of the envelope.
Minimum Technical Specification acceptable
for a Pulsed Laser Deposition Unit:
Maximum substrate size: multiple sizes (5 mm
X 5 mm to 2” X 2”)
Maximum substrate temperature: ~ 950 0C
PID programmable temperature controller.

B). FINANCIAL BID:
1. The
financial bid should be Super subscribed as “Finance Bid” on
the outer cover of the envelope.
2. An
Account Payee Demand Draft of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh) in the
name of "Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” is to be
furnished by the bidders except those who are registered with the Central
Purchase Organizations, National Small Industries Corporation or the
concerned Ministry or Department, as Bid Security money. The bid security
may also be accepted in the form of Bank Guarantee from any of the
commercial banks in an acceptable form.
3. The
Demand Draft for the Bid-Security money should have at least 45 (forty five)
days validity period after the opening of the Bids.
4. In case
of non-award of the work the Bid Security money would be returned to the
Bidders.
C). PERFORMANCE SECURITY:
1. An
Account Payee Demand Draft of Rs. 5, 00,000 (Rupees Five Lakh) in the
name of "Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” is to be
furnished by the successful bidder as Performance Security money. The
performance security may also be accepted in the form of Bank Guarantee
from any of the commercial banks in an acceptable form.
2.
Performance Security should remain valid for a period of 60 (sixty) days
beyond the date of completion of all contractual obligations of the supplier
including warranty obligations.
3. Bid
Security would be refunded to the successful bidder on receipt of
Performance Security.
D) GENERAL
INSTURCTIONS:
1. The
Indian Association for the Cultivation Science (IACS) will have the right to
select or reject the complete tendering process or any individual or all
tenders (Bids) at any stage before awarding the work due to any exigency or
financial/administrative reasons.
2. There
should be two separate envelopes duly sealed for two bids and the envelopes
should be super scribed with (a) Technical Bid, and (b) Financial Bid and
both these sealed envelopes are to be put in a bigger envelope which should
also be sealed and marked as Tender for “Pulsed Laser Deposition Unit
"
3. The
tender notice number and the name of the instrument should clearly be
written on envelope.
4.
Incomplete tenders or tender will be summarily rejected.
