Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), a premier
Scientific Research Institute, invites ‘Two Part” Bid from interested
firms/agencies having well experience and professional knowledge regarding
Cargo Clearing and Forwarding of Imported and also exported Cargo on
Warehouse to warehouse basis in connection with the procurement of
Scientific equipments and spares from different countries. Average annual
turnover of procurement of foreign made scientific equipment is around
Rs.10.00 crore. The intending bidders are required to submit the bid in their letter heads in sealed cover in two parts Viz., Part A and Part B, both sealed in separate cover to the Registrar, IACS in the following manner:- 1. Along with the Part A of the bid which comprises of terms and conditions of the bid, the tenders will have to submit the following documents:- (i) Credentials in support of providing similar service to the various Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Research Institute during the last three year from 2008-09 onwards. (ii) Details of their Freight Forwarding Agents in different Countries. (iii) Custom Clearance License. (iv) Membership of National and International Air Transport Association (v) “Carrier legal liabilities” insurance policy of Rs.5 crore and above. Failure to submit requisite documents may disqualify from further evaluation of their bids. 2. Part B of the bid should be submitted in letter head indicating the rate for the following: (i) Transportation/Freight cost of Imported Cargo on weight/volume ratio (ii) Customs clearing and statutory charges at the Airport (iii) Transportation charges from Airport to IACS Warehouse, Jadavpur, Kolkata The bid documents should also accompany an earnest money of Rs.10,000.00 (Rupees ten thousand only) in the form of Bank Draft in favour of the Registrar, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, payable at Kolkata. If you are capable of doing the work on time bound nature satisfactorily and are interested in the above jobs as per terms and conditions mentioned above, you may please submit the tender. Completed tender in the sealed cover dully marked “Tender for appointment of consolidation Agent for clearance and forwarding of Imported and Exported Cargo on Warehouse basis” should be submitted to the Registrar, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, 2A&B, Raja S.C. Mallick Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700 032 by 2-00 PM on 25th August,2011. The tenders received after the prescribed time and date will not be entertained. The tender will be opened at 3-00 PM on the same date in presence of intending parties.
