Sealed item rate tender in two bid system (Technical Bid & Financial Bid) is invited from bonafide, resourceful and eligible contractors for “Electrical Installation of 1x1MVA, 6KV/415V, Dry type Transformer along-with other related equipments for 3^rd phase augmentation of IACS Sub-Station at Jadavpur, Kolkata”. The work is estimated to cost Rs. 16, 59,155/-only. 

The minimum eligibility criteria for the Contractors will be as follows: -  

The contractor should have satisfactorily completed at least one work of similar nature having value not less than the estimated cost put to tender or two works of similar nature of value not less than Rs. 8 lacs each or three works of similar nature each of value not less than Rs. 5 lacs in Government Organization/Pvt. Organization of repute in last 3 years reckoned from the date of issue of this NIT. Here, similar nature of work indicates the work of supply & installation of Dry type transformer of capacity not less than 500 KVA. However, the aggregate capacity of equipment shall not be less than 1500 KVA. The scope of work must include supplying & laying of HT& LT XLPE cable i/c termination /jointing of the same.  

The tender documents can be purchased from the Electrical Engg. Section of IACS on all working days from 02.02.2011 to 09.02.2011 between 11 am and 2 pm. on payment of Rs. 500/- (Non refundable) in cash. The last date of application is 07.02.2011 for purchase of Tender Form. The interested parties can apply to the “Registrar, IACS, 2A & 2B, Raja S.C. Mullick Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata- 700 032” for issuance of tender paper along-with relevant documents to proof their eligibility criteria for participating in the tendering procedure. Completed tenders (Super-scribing the name of work, NIT no. due date etc. on the top of the envelope) addressed to the Registrar, IACS, 2A & 2B, Raja S.C. Mullick Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata- 700 032 may be dropped to our Despatch / Receiving section on or before 15.02.2011 upto 2 pm which (technical bid) will likely to be opened on the same day i.e. 15.02.2011 at 3 pm. in presence of the intending bidders. In case holiday is declared, the tender may be opened on the next working day. A pre-bid meeting may be held with the intending parties on 10.02.2011 at 3 pm at our office. 

The tenderers shall submit their tenders in sealed condition. The envelope shall contain two separate sealed envelopes inside it. The 1^st envelop (Technical Bid) shall contain the (i) tender application (if tender is downloaded from Web-site). (ii) tender fees along-with a covering letter on Formal letter heads ( if tender is downloaded from Web-site) of Rs. 500/- (non refundable ) in the form of Demand Draft or Pay order favouring “Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” on any schedule bank payable at Kolkata. (iii) proof of eligibility criteria, (iv) Earnest Money Deposit in proper form, (v) credential including a) PAN / TAN copy. b) Copy of VAT registration certificate, c) copy of valid workman’s permit & Electrical Contractor’s license eligible for HT work upto 33 KV (if it is under renewal, relevant documents to be submitted in support of this).  d) tender documents except BOQ with offered price (which will be submitted with the 2^nd envelope to be treated as price bid) etc. The 2^nd envelope (Price Bid) shall contain the BOQ only. 

            However, the 2^nd cover (Price Bid) will be opened on a subsequent date in presence of the intending bidders who will qualify in the Technical Bid. 

The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to Rs. 33,180/- only in the form of Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque / Pay Order drawn in favour of “Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” on any schedule Bank payable at Kolkata to be submitted with the tender inside the 1^st envelope positively.

            Security Deposit @ 10% of bill value will be deducted from each bill which will be released after six months from the date of completion of the work.            Complete tender documents will also be available on the Website of IACS at www.iacs.res.in and can be downloaded for submission.

            If any discrepancy arises, the office copy of the NIT will be referred and shall be binding to the Contractor.

            Conditional tender including Conditional rebate and incomplete tender will not be accepted.

        The IACS authority reserves the right to execute in part or full of the quantity as specified in the tender schedule or may not execute any item considering the site requirements

            The deviation limit shall be 25% which may vary with the mutual consent of the contractor over the specified percentage according to the accepted rate of tender.
