Construction of Underground Reservoir, Fire Pump Room and Installation of Fire Pump with Other accessories for Fire Fighting Work” for Library Building, IACS Jadavpur.

Sealed item rate tenders are invited from specialized firms having experience in similar nature of works for “Construction of Underground Reservoir, Fire Pump Room and Installation of Fire Pump with Other accessories for Fire Fighting Work” for Library Building of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata” of estimated value of Rs.46,64,243 (Rupees forty six lakh sixty four thousand two hundred and forty three only). The completion period of the said job is 180 days.

Tender shall be submitted in two parts. Part I Technical bid and Part II – Financial bid. Part I shall contain satisfactory completion certificate of at least one similar work (construction of underground reservoir, fire pump room and installation of fire pump with other accessories for Fire Fighting Work) each costing not less than Rs.37.00 Lakhs or two similar works each costing not less than Rs.23.00 Lakhs or three similar worka costing not less than Rs.19.00 Lakhs during last five years, under Govt/Semi Govt/Govt Autonomous Bodies/PSUs. Trade license, P.F. Registration, VAT, PAN and company profile, permanent address, telephone number etc. are also to be submitted. Turnover certificate for last 5 years ending March, 2010 duly certified by the Chartered Accountant and a current solvency certificate of Rs.30.00 lakhs certified by the bankers are also to be submitted by the Applicant.

Tender documents will be sold from the office of the Engineer of IACS on Cash payment of Rs.1,000.00 (Non refundable) from 24.01.11 to 09.02.11 from 11.00 A.M to 3.00 P.M on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Pre-bid conference will be held at 3.00 P.M. on 15.02.11 at IACS.

Completed tenders (Part I & Part II in separate envelope superscribed with Name of Work, Part Nos. etc, sealed and put into one 3^rdbig-size envelope) along with the Earnest Money Deposit amounting to Rs.94,000.00 (Rupees Ninety four thousands only) in the form of Pay Order/A/c Payee Demand draft/Banker’s Cheque from any Schedule Bank drawn in favour of “Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science” payable at Kolkata along with PART-I will be received up to 3 P.M on 22.02.11. The technical bid (Part-I) will be opened on the same day at 3.30 P.M in the presence of intending tenderers.

Financial bids (part-II) of the successful short listed tenderers through evaluation of Part-I will be opened on 02.03.11 at 3.30 P.M after notices to the qualified bidders.
