with very high signal to noise ratio, must be equipped with
adequate cooling facility, (b) Beam Optics: Graphite
Monochromator with all other necessary accessories/optics for
using in both Molybdenum (Mo) and Copper (Cu) radiation.

Powder X-ray data for powder diffraction pattern
recording as well as small angle X-ray scattering data
acquisition:
The system offered should have the possibility of recording
powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and small angle X-ray scattering
(SAXS) data from microcrystalline sample filled in a capillary
mounted on the same goniometer of the system. Suitable software
should be provided to convert the frame data collected in the
capillary to typical powder diffraction pattern. Suitable
software should be provided to analyze the SAXS data.
The breakup prices for these facilities should be
shown in the financial bid. |

X-ray Tube: Ceramic
X-ray tubes with Molybdenum (Mo) and Copper (Cu) anode with fine
focus 2000 Watt or more. All necessary optics are to be
included in the basic system so that both the tubes can be used
in the offered system for crystallographic work. While using the
Copper radiation, all necessary optics must be included in the
basic system in order to achieve high sensitivity for the CCD
detector. |

international safety norms. |

Low & high Temperature attachment:
Temperature from 80K – 500K equipped with liquid nitrogen
Dewar of minimum 60 Liters capacity or more, pressure

very low liquid Nitrogen consumption, no icing effect should be
ensured. This facility should be offered with breakup price.
Optionally the vendor should offer the cryosystem with dedicated
LN2 generator. |

Application software-
WINDOWS XP/ LINUX based application software on GUI platform for
instrumental control for single crystal, twins, low/high
temperature, high pressure, charged density and modulated
structure. The software should be able to perform complete data
acquisition, scaling, space group determination, structure
determination and final report generation for publication
purpose.
No public domain software is acceptable. Manufacturer must offer
their licensed software developed by them. |

Spares: Ceramic fine
focus X-ray tube with molybdenum Anode: One (1) No. In addition,
spares for at least 3 years normal operation to be included in
the offer. The detail list of spare to be enclosed with the
offer for evaluation purpose. Supplier should confirm the

installation. |

The data collected in the offered SXRD system
must be publishable as per the Acta Crystallographica guideline.
This is applicable for both Mo and Cu radiation. |

Pre-Installation requirement:
Necessary pre-installation advice should be sent immediately
after the placement of the order. |

Installation, commissioning and Application
Training: Free of cost at site for
minimum 10 working days for a group of technical staff/students
from operating the instrument to complete structure
determination/solution. |

Service facility in India :
Supplier should clearly mention about their service set up in
India for prompt service support along with number of service
engineers specially trained on the offered system. |

Installation in India:
Detailed lists of Indian users for the CCD-based XRD quoted
model. There must be at least two same quoted model
installed/ordered in India in last 3 years. |

Both imported and indigenous (ISO certified) chiller for
X-ray generator and tube should be offered with breakup prices.
After sales service should be provided by the Vendor. |

UPS for the single crystal X-ray diffractometer
system: Suitable 3 – phase input, 3 –
phase output on-line UPS with digital signal processor (DSP)
control double conversion with IGBT with latest version and at
least 20 KVA or more rating capacity with sealed maintenance
free batteries, for supporting the XRD system and external water
chiller with minimum 1 hour back up time with detailed technical
specification from reputed brand manufactures. After sales
service should be provided by the Vendor. |

Sheets: All the manuals including
circuit Diagrams and instruction sheets must be supplied in
English for the purpose of service engineer’s reference.
