Research Interests :
Our research focuses on three areas of molecular spectroscopy and photo-/electron impact chemistry:
  • Electronic spectroscopy of multiply hydrogen bonded cold molecular clusters, which mimic binding sites of many naturally occurring systems.
  • Infrared spectroscopy of weak hydrogen bonded molecular complexes in argon and nitrogen matrices at temperatures below 10K.
  • Photochemistry of atmospherically relevant molecules in the gas-phase and effect of water vapour on the reactions. We also study how photochemistry as well as low – energy electron impact fragmentation of molecules is altered by cluster formation. As spectroscopic methods we use laser-induced fluorescence, multi-photon and electron impact ionization, quadrupole and time of flight mass spectrometry and matrix-isolated infrared spectroscopy.
