Background
Graduation (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) from IIT, Kharagpur, was followed by Ph.D. from IISc, Bangalore, under the supervision of Prof. T. R. Kasturi and late Prof. D. K. Banerjee. Postdoctoral training (1983-1986) was obtained at the Case Western Reserve University (Prof. R. G. Salomon), Cleveland, USA, and at the Washington State University (Prof. D. S. Matteson), Pullman, USA. After a brief stint at IISc as a CSIR Pool Officer (1986-1988), the first regular appointment was at NCL, Pune. Moved to IACS in June, 2002.
