On November 6, 2008 Indian Journal of Physics signed a Copublishing agreement with Springer with a view to enhancing its global visibility. Following the agreement, commencing with Volume 83, Issue 1, 2009, IACS has been producing the printed version of IJP, while Springer is publishing the electronic version of the Journal for worldwide dissemination via SpringerLink (www.springer.com/12648 ) and is distributing outside of India the International Print Edition. The co-publishing agreement has increased the international awareness, usage, and distribution of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science’s Journal by selling subscriptions and licensing consortia plans through SpringerLink and Springer’s international journal sales efforts to the enhanced online editions and international print editions.
